The Honourable Minister of Communications, Barrister Adebayo Shittu was on Saturday March 3,2018 tops the list of eminent personalities that grace the Diamond Jubilee Anniversary of the Baptist High School, Saki, Okeogun area of Oyo State.

This was contained in a release made available to News Writers on Sunday morning by the head of his Media Team Mr. Amuda Mosigbodi.
According to the release, the Minister also receives outstanding Alumnus Award as part of his continued contributions to the progress and success of the School.
In a related development, it was gathered that a Bus to ease the transportation of a class of students and a sum of N750,000 was donated .
The statement reads :
” The Honorable Minister for Communication, Barrister Bayo Shittu was yesterday honoured with a Distinguished Alumnus Award by the Old Students’ Association of His Alma-Mata, Baptist High School, Saki.
The award which was presented to the Minister in recognition of his sterling achievements in Public Service and his outstanding contributions to the development of the school was part of a week-long event marking the 60th anniversary of the school.
Reading the Minister’s citation at the event, he was identified as the first Alumnus of the school to become Minister, Federal Republic of Nigeria and will hopefully emerge the first to be elected governor of Oyo State during the 2019 elections.
While receiving the award at the event held at the school premises in Saki where he was received with jubilation , Barrister Bayo Shittu stated that Baptist High School, Saki laid a solid foundation for whatever he has achieved in life.
Meanwhile the ceremony also witnessed the launching of a book in honor of the Minister’s former principal, Deacon Ogundiran. E A whom the Minister described as the one responsible for ensuring he furthered his secondary school education when he nearly dropped out of school upon his family’s return from Ghana.
After launching his former principal’s book with a huge sum, the minister thereafter donated a bus and a substantial amount of money to the school”
