Saki Bank :Anxiety over lack of money in many ATMs few days to Christmas in Saki Community.

Commercial bank customers on Sunday December 10,2017 decried lack of money in many Automated Teller Machines (ATMs),poor network and slow dispensing of cash by the machines under pressure within the Saki community in accordance with the frustration, anguish as ATMs dispense less cash.

Newsmen who monitored some banks in the town also observed long queues in most of the banks such as the First bank, Skye Bank, UBA Zenith Bank and Stambic Bank.

Some of the customers, said they had been waiting under sun for more than 2 hours and had not been able to withdraw their money.

They lamented that the banks’ Management were aware of the chaos and ought to have made adequate provision, especially regarding availability of funds in ATM.

Thousands of customers were left stranded and frustrated  following the inability of Automated Teller Machines dispensed less cash in some cases and failed to dispense cash in some other instances.

Customers at the Skye Bank,who spoke on condition of anonymity,said that it was unfortunate that the banks had not been meeting customers’ demands, pointing accusing fingers on the Skye Bank that it is very common at the Bank’s ATM.

Meanwhile,the Saki West Local Government which is adjacent to the Skye bank experienced same chaos.

Many of the customers, who had hoped to get enough cash from the ATMs to pay bills and shop for food items and other goods ahead of the week days , went home disarray after waiting in long queues on the sun for several hours.

When contacted for comment, one of the officials of the banks declined to comment on the matter and further efforts to make contact to other banks’ officials on the matter proved abortive.
