Oyo PDP Crisis :Panic in PDP as Ladoja plots to dump party, joins AD.
Barring any change, the challenging party in Oyo State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) may be hit by mass defection, in the next few weeks.
DAILY POST gathers that former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja may soon dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for the Alliance for Democracy (AD), following his dissatisfied with events in the challenging political party, has cut a deal with the Alliance for Democracy, AD), with a view to building the opposition political party.
A close ally to the ex-governor and one of the members of the present State Executive Committee of the party, who asked not to be named because he was not authorised to speak on the matter, confirmed this development Saturday evening.
Ladoja had threatened to dump the party due to what he called impunity.
Though the source did not state exact time or place of Ladoja’s declaration for AD, the source said going by the present state of things, the ex-governor “is likely to announce any moment from now.”
He said “Yes. It is true (exit from PDP). You know I am not authorised to say that.
“He is likely to dump PDP for AD any moment from now. But we are still waiting.”
