Oyo Govt Demolishes Illegal Structures At Ajoda Newtown

Residents living along Erunmu have been urged to move out of their illegal buildings in the area to avoid demolition.

The General Manager, Oyo state Housing Corporation, Mr. Daniel Adekunle made the call during the demolition exercise in Oluwonla Area of Ajode new town.

According to him, some of the structures are erected on lands that had already been allocated to some individuals by the state housing corporation but illegally sold by land grabbers.

Some of the affected owners, however, pleaded with the government to show leniency over their cases.

Ajode New town is a community owned by the Oyo state government and consists of about 20 villages.
