The Lawmaker representing Kishi/Olorunsogo State constituency, Honourable Oseni Ganiyu Ayesoro on Thursday [August 17,2017] empowers over 500 individuals comprising youths and artisans which cut across all the wards in his constituency with items worth millions of naira as part of his constituency project and to put succour to his people.
The qualitative empowerment is unprecedented and the first of its kind in the history of Kishi/Olorunsogo Local government area ,event which took place at Kishi round about (T-Junction),the headquarters of Irepo Local government area, Kishi.
According to him, the gesture is in fulfilment of his covenant and campaign promise pledged in the last election to ably represent and do resoundingly well for his constituents through the intervention /constituency projects as representatives of the people,who knows the spots where shoes pinch the masses and in appreciation to the support given to him by the electorate in the Consistency that stood him out among the Contestants who eyed his serving position in the last election. .
He reiterates that he would use his good position as a representative of his people to bring dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of his Constituents .
According to him, all the items distributed are targeted at supporting or boosting the economic activities of the beneficiaries .
Giving and recounting a stewardship account to his constituents ,he expresses optimism that many more of his constituents will benefit from future empowerment and other people oriented projects in addition to the sterling benefits that are being witnessed at present.
Items distribute at the empowerment programme include the following; 14 Motorcycles, 12 Deep Freezers, 31 Grinding machines, 31 Sewing machines, 80 spraying well for farmers coupled with 170 Chemicals and 15 Generators.
Hon Ayesoro also clears all sort of insinuations and speculations in accordance with the Constituency allowances, saying that no Lawmaker in the 8th House of Assembly has collected constituency allowances but only squeezes himself to fulfil this gesture as part of his continued pledges to do all he could do with what his human capacity can accommodate.
In addition to the above, Hon. Ayesoro also distributes Free UTME Forms to 350 students who passed WAEC examination with seven credits including English Language and Mathematics, N5,000 cash empowerment to 200 Students among others.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Abdulwasi Musah shows his satisfaction and happiness over the empowerment programme, the outstanding of its kind . He further says that the All Progressives Congress, APC under the leadership of Governor Abiola Ajimobi is owning only two months as against the wide spread information and expresses his optimism that the two outstanding salaries would be settled soon in the State .
Also speaking was the former Local government caretaker chairman for Irepo local government area, Alhaji Yekeen Popooala says the empowerment programme is unprecedented in the council and that Irepo local government has never had it so good with such gesture In the past and rates Hon Ayesoro as the best ever produced since the Democratic settings in the Council .
The Chairman of the APC at Irelope local government ,Alh Rasaq Kobad who led other executive members of the party to the event, expresses that APC family is overwhelmed that the State Lawmaker is making the party proud despite the economic situation that is not friendly in the State and pray for his continued God’s blessing and take him to the greater height.
Among the dignitaries present at the occasion are Political Functionaries including the Deputy Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Abdulwasi Musah ( Saki West State Lawmaker), Hon Silas Okunlola (Iwajowa State Lawmaker), Hon Sangodipe Micheal (ATISBO State Lawmaker), Hon Afees Adeleke (Iseyin/Itesiwaju State Lawmaker, Hon Wunmi Oladeji (Ogbomoso North State Lawmaker and Hon Lukuman Balogun (Oorelope State Lawmaker).
Also, in attendance are; APC Party State Executive led by Alh Ayinla Kakako, APC PRO, Community members, Community leaders, Associations including National Council of Women Society, Kishi Chapter and his Political family.
Others Present are Religious Leaders led by the Chief Imam of Kishi, Alh Soliu Danbaba among others.
