The Oyo State chapter of ACCORD under the Leadership of Alh Wahab Oyelade has debunked the rumour that some members of the party, ACCORD, participated in a kangaroo meeting to share political post among the political parties in the State.

In a statement by the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Engr Akeem Olatunji, said, the rumour was baseless and unfounded, saying, it was part of the strategies of the faceless and dubious politicians doing the bidding of the ruling party to create confusion within our party, ACCORD, as the biggest opposition party in Oyo State.

The party also described the purported endorsement of any of the aspirants as candidate for 2019 poll as figment of imagination of the writer of the cooked up story. ACCORD also stated emphatically that campaign and scheming for 2019 should be put on hold until 2018 as it enjoined all members with ambition to rather concentrate their energy on building the party to enviable height since the party belongs to all.
According to the spokesman of the party, Engr Akeem Olatunji, the entire leadership of ACCORD across the 33 local governments in Oyo State have always been proud of the performance and successes recorded by the Alh Wahab Oyelade led executives within the short period it took over the reigns of the party.
The party, ACCORD, also promised continuous support to Eight members of the State House of Assembly elected on her platform as the party is happy that inspite of the the economic crisis they are facing, the honorable members have made significant impact in youth empowerment and infrastructural development apart from quality representation they are providing to the people of their constituents and the state at large.
The party therefore reiterate her confidence in the leadership of Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja as the pathfinder and goal getter who always sacrifice his personal comfort for the progress of all party members.

Since political development is characterized by ups and down, a situation whereby APC won 2015 election by 36.23 percent followed by ACCORD with 28.20 percent called for the opposition to go back to the drawing board while ACCORD as the biggest opposition party in Oyo will do all it can to rally critical political stakeholders in a bid to cleanse our State of the APC’s negative Change in 2019!!!
